AGOT: Title Tweaks
A simple submod for AGOT that tweaks the order of the title history & landed titles files to better match official canon and even AGOT’s own mod canon, plus a few tweaks of my own.
A number of official canon and mod canon houses might not have their intended seat set as their primary title. The fix for this is reordering the titles in the history files. I have adjusted them according to map concept art plus some personal discretion regarding which county/barony makes the most sense as the house seat. Affected houses include:
Fixed Houses
-The North: Stout, Brownbarrow, Ryder, Grayson, Elliver, Bole, Mollen, Lake, Blackbrow, Greenleaf, Crowl, Lightfoot, Goodman, Waterman, Fenn, Peat, Cray, Quagg, Boggs of Drenchmire, Hayes
-Riverlands: Cox, Vypren (post-Blackfyre), Butterwell (pre-Blackfyre), Rushmoor, Lolliston
-Crownlands: Langward
-Westerlands: Peckledon
-Stormlands: Herston
-The Reach: Mullendore, Redding, Peake (pre-Blackfyre), Yelshire (post-Blackfyre), Sawyer, Webber (post-Dunk)
-Dorne: Drinkwater, Dayne of High Hermitage
Even with the correct primary title, some houses show their ancestors having a mismatching title (discounting those whose main seat moved from the ancestral seat to the more important seat, like the Harrenhal houses). These have been corrected by adjusting their order of the titles in the landed titles file.
Fixed Houses
-The North: Hayes, Waterman, Greengood, Boggs of Drenchmire
-Riverlands: Butterwell (pre-Blackfyre)
-Crownlands: Corne
-The Reach: Cuy, Sawyer, Yelshire (post-Blackfyre), Webber (post-Dunk)
These are not "fixes" but adjustments based on personal preference.
List of Changes
-Ambrose Butterwell in the Black Dragon bookmark now shows his primary title as Lord of Milkstone
-The capital of the Duchy of Fairmarket is now Fairmarket instead of Ramsford; the county title is now owned by House Paege instead of House Shawney after the Hoares are overthrown
-The capital of the Duchy of Three Forks is now Gaines instead of Lancewood due to its strategic location and its former status as House Strong’s mod canon ancestral seat
-House Magnar has been given Veksdaenk as an additional county, removing it from House Crowl to balance out Skagos
-The county of Far Stone has been given to House Wibberley from House Fisher of Stony Shore due to it usually being too much for the latter’s domain size
-The three duchy-rank Golden Company houses of Toyne, Strickland, and Mandrake have each been given an extra county prior to their exile so they aren’t overpowered by one strong vassal: Harrowfield for Toyne, Wysteria for Strickland, and Helmesmont for Mandrake; these will revert to the vanilla houses for bookmarks after the Blackfyre Rebellions
-Saltcliffe is now the capital of the island of Saltcliffe
-Mole’s Town is now the capital of Brandon’s Gift
This mod changes the landed titles file and the title histories, and it is likely that any AGOT submod that modifies these files will be incompatible. I will NOT create compatibility patches for any other AGOT submod.
