Description:

Bounty Hunter is cool. I like that he has the ability to be a supportive teammate and a solid damage dealer.
That being said, his kit could sometimes seem a little bland, and I liked a few bits and pieces from other modder’s work.
So I mixed and matched those concepts along with some of my own ideas (maybe even some DD2-based inspiration), and made a Vanilla-friendly rework of the man behind the mask.

"You better be paying me extra."

~Things I changed are~

New Passive!: Activates a Riposte with no turn duration when he goes below 40% HP.

– This is effectively Staredown. The riposte marks the target, reduces the damage they deal and increases the amount of damage they receive for 3 turns.
– Clears off of Bounty Hunter when his HP goes back above 40%.

Buffed Mark for Death: Ignores Guard.

– I’m pointing at YOU pink-fish, not your squid-like shield-brother! Ugh!

Changed Flashbang: Gives a Very strong Accuracy Debuff or 2 turns now. Limited to 2 Uses per battle.

– Stunning the enemy for 1 turn and then giving an ACC down for 2 turns translates to one guaranteed skipped turn and 1 coinflip for the enemy to land a hit. Feels good, but still requires some decent RNG.
– Refreshes each wave in CoM Endless Mode.

Changed Finish Him: Bonus Accuracy based on the enemy’s missing health. Bonus Damage against bleeding or stunned. Double Crit on Low HP targets.

– +5 ACC per 20% of target’s missing HP. DMG equals to 130-180% of BH’s base damage IF the target is BOTH bleeding and stunned.
– This move got a lot of crap for being "Collect Bounty that hits Rank 3", I wanted it to be differentiated enough to consider it over collect bounty if the enemy isn’t marked and is near death.

Changed Caltrops: Bleed is weaker, but lasts basically the whole fight now. Decreases enemy’s speed and Move Resist. Limited to 1 use per battle.

– 1 use per battle may seem a bit harsh, but this move effectively puts you on-course to end most standard battle mashes by turn 4 or 5. It’s meant to have direct synergy with BH’s other moves and set him and his team up for success.

Trinkets!

Agility Talon: +1 Spd
Camper’s Helmet Utility Belt: +20% Bleeding Skill chance, +20% Debuff Skill chance, +10% Stun Ranged Skill chance, and -1 Spd
Unmoving Helmet: +10% Scouting Chance. New Look!
Wounding Helmet: +20% Stun Melee Skill chance, +10% Scouting Chance

– No one was using Camper’s Helmet. If you try and tell me you do, you’re either lying or need better trinkets. So it’s utility belt from DD2 now, and it focuses on his ranged skills and supportive abilities.
– The scouting chance on Camper’s Helmet was cool though, so I put that on The other 2 Helmets.

Gameplay Suggestions

Any new icons I make are influenced by Consistent Skill Icon Colors by Lucceri and kept consistent with their system to identify skill use at a glance. I love their art changes they made.
I enjoy playing with the 5 Skills Equippable patches by Indiscriminate Amphibians. They use an override structure, so just make sure their mod is the tippy-top of load order and you can use it alongside this mod perfectly.
Do you like pretty UI’s? Me too. Check out Amara’s Character UI and their relevant 7 quirk/multi-trinket patches to your taste.
Lastly, I would suggest you download (All non-DLC) Marks last for rounds, not turns mod by Puben to compliment GR’s mark synergies. I had a lot of issues with the Mark mechanic and its heroes originally. Their mod changed that, and there are zero conflictions with both installed.
Highly suggest you give them all a subscribe.

Compatibility and Requirements:

This will conflict with mods that change Bounty Hunter info (obviously), but should be fine with just everything else.
Requires Trinket Separator: Base Game. Place that at the VERY BOTTOM of your modlist. Alternatively, you can use any mod that has a trinket separator built-in to it.
This mod should be somewhere near the top 1/4th of your mod load order.

I’m a relatively new modder. Feel free to give me feedback, ask me questions, let me know if something isn’t working correctly in the comments or discussions.
