UZ CHS2
The ChS2 is a passenger single-section six-axle electric locomotive of constant flow, manufactured at the Skoda enterprise from 1958 to 1973 for the railways of the Soviet Union. It received the nickname "Cheburashka" for its appearance.
To maintain the already heavily worn out ChS2 electric locomotives in acceptable technical condition, their overhaul was organized at the Zaporizhzhia Electric Locomotive Repair Plant ZERZ. The scheme of the electric locomotive and its appearance are practically unchanged, the main result of the modernization is the replacement of the gear-piston traction transmission with a traction transmission with a gear reducer, according to the transmission type of electric locomotives ChS7 and ChS8.
