历史信息介绍Introduction to R&D History：
东风8B型径向转向架电力传动内燃机车，是由戚墅堰机车厂，资阳机车厂分别于2000年和2004年制成的径向转向架技术验证车。这两台径向转向架都学习或采用了美国EMD公司设计制造的HTCR径向转向架，戚墅堰机车厂制造的径向转向架称为 三轴径向转向架，是借鉴HTRC转向架的；资阳机车厂的则为进口HTCR转向架的专利技术硬件制造，并派出人员在美培训。两个企业生产的径向转向架在外形上接近，且同此前东风4D型，东风6A型内燃机车上的径向转向架一样，其立项都是源自于1995年铁道部的指令。当然，最后径向转向架研制逐渐停止了，原因是市场经济条件下研发投入大，可靠性仍需提高，研发周期长，以及国际市场上有替代可满足短期需求。

The Dongfeng 8B radial bogie electric transmission diesel locomotive is a radial bogie technology verification vehicle manufactured by Qishuyan Locomotive Factory and Ziyang Locomotive Factory in 2000 and 2004, respectively. Both of these radial bogies have learned or adopted HTCR radial bogies designed and manufactured by EMD Company in the United States. The radial bogies manufactured by Qishuyan Locomotive Factory are called three-axis radial bogies, which are inspired by HTRC bogies; Ziyang Locomotive Factory manufactures patented technology hardware for imported HTCR bogies and sends personnel for training in the United States. The radial bogies produced by the two companies are similar in appearance, and like the radial bogies on the previous Dongfeng 4D and Dongfeng 6A diesel locomotives, their projects were approved by the Ministry of Railways in 1995. Of course, the development of radial bogies gradually came to a halt due to the high research and development investment under market economy conditions, the need to improve reliability, the long research and development cycle, and the availability of substitutes in the international market to meet short-term needs.
