Cinders CE Rebalance
Combat Extended only !
Personal rebalance for Cinders of the Embergarden, bringing some of its equipment more in-line with vanilla balance. Embergarden’s higher end equipment is on par with cataphract armour despite being substantially easier to acquire and not *looking* like the kind of armour that would provide phract tier protection. With this patch, it’s still very strong, but now nothing is stronger than marine armour tier.
List of changes:
- Assault helmet armour rating reduced. A plasteel helmet now provides 13mm RHA and the tan helmet provides 12mm RHA; compare to recon helmet’s 12mm. Coverage reduced to upper head area to match other non-power helmets.
- Enclosed face mask armour rating reduced. Steel mask provides 4mm and plasteel mask 8mm RHA; compare to CE Armour ballistic goggles’ 2mm. Weapon handling penalty on the enclosed mask and broken mask now applied correctly.
- Ghoul unit helmet moved to strapped layer and coverage reduced.
- Low visibility dress armour rating reduced. Now provides 15mm RHA; compare to recon armour’s 16mm.
- Heavy armour dress armour rating reduced. Steel provides 11.5mm RHA and plasteel 20mm RHA; compare to marine armour’s 20mm.
Recommendation: AB’s Head Apparel Tweaker. It’s simply the best implementation of hair + hat display options on the workshop (that I’ve found) and can be used to adjust sprite offsets.
