Democratic Republic of Vietnam
This landscape lets you play in the north of Vietnam, corresponding to the territory of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam before the country’s unification with the south in 1976.
The map has simple pre-existing settlements connected by simple roads and bridges and ressources should roughly correspond to real life locations of deposits and mining areas. For oil i added some in the Gulf of Tonkin to simulate the ressources of the Song Hong Basin should you decide to play with offshore oil extraction. Otherwise I added a fictional oil field in the extreme south for practicality and to encourage expansion into that area. There is only one western customs house on the short border to the south but several soviet ones to the north mostly, as the mountainous terrain makes for difficult border crossing to Laos.
This is my first serious attempt at making a map for this game and i hope it is playable and doesnt have any jarring inaccuracies. Feedback is welcome.
