Beretta M9 from Insurgency (Glock)
Beretta M9 handgun pistol from Insurgency, replacing the Glock. Homemade "Mom and Pop"-store animations never before seen. Wow. This might be the best thing you’ve ever seen. This is accidentally basically a remake of my other addon lol. This Italian handgun is the most American gun out there. Do you hear knocking? It’s close.
- M9 handgun from Insurgency replacing the Glock, with view/world models and ammo pickup
- Custom animations that keep the timing from the base game Glock (barring some animations that shouldn’t matter for timing)
- Sounds from Insurgency: reloading and firing (and more)
- Inverse Kinematics combined with an experimental system for timing-independent looping animations provide seamless and varied firing and breathing animations (again)
- Untested multiplayer support: MP hands, plus MP ammo pickup and worldmodel
- Sprinting animations timed to the usual-case footsteps
- Weapon Bucket Icon (VGUI)
- Blood and Acid slathering support
- No weapon scripts

Saved games from before this addon was downloaded might not work properly.
Multiplayer has not been tested with this addon.
InsM9.vpk: This file contains the models (viewmodel, worldmodel and clip (singleplayer, multiplayer)), materials, textures, and all sound effects aside from gunshots for this addon.
InsM9Gunshots.vpk: This file contains the gunshot sound effects for this addon.
InsM9.vpk.sound.cache: An auto-generated file that holds audio playback information for sounds in the ‘InsM9’ package.

If this addon is not working, here are some basic steps that could help. It’s best to have the game exited before downloading. You may skip these steps.
- Verify Integrity of Game Files (https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/0C48-FCBD-DA71-93EB).
- Unsubscribe and resubscribe to this addon.
- Restart Steam.
If the addon continues to not work, here is a tutorial for placing this addon’s VPK files into your game install’s ‘custom’ folder.
- In the Steam library, right-click on Black Mesa. Click on ‘Manage’ and then click ‘Browse local files’.
This will open your Black Mesa install folder.
- Enter the folder ‘bms’. Inside of ‘bms’ there should be a folder called ‘custom’. If there is not a folder called ‘custom’, create it.
Inside of the ‘custom’ folder is where we’ll place our files into so the game can read them.
- Create another window and keep one inside of the ‘custom’ folder. In the new window, go back through the directories until you reach ‘steamapps’. Enter ‘workshop’, ‘content’, ‘362890’, then ‘3398449062’. You should see the 4 files listed in the ‘Addon Contents’ block above.
This folder contains all of the files in this Workshop addon. ‘362890’ is Black Mesa’s Steam ID. ‘3398449062’ is this Workshop addon’s ID.
- Move all the files from folder ‘3398449062’ into folder ‘custom’ from before. Go to this Workshop page and unsubscribe.
You will not be able to get any future updates to this addon by doing this. Steam has no idea where the files have gone so it will try to download them again if you do not unsubscribe.
This addon should now show up in game. If it doesn’t work at this point then I am unable to help you. You can unpack the VPKs to modify files and it might make it work if you are still having problems. You’ll have to sleuth around to figure out how to do that.
In addition, if you’d like to remove the firing sound effects, either as you’d like the stock sounds or prefer another sound pack, you can perform the steps above and simply not transfer over "InsM9Gunshots".
