Immersive Succession for AGOT
Hey, so a while ago I’ve made a mod for base CK3 that makes succession a bit more believable, by introducing an "Extraordinary Elective" succesion law, that becomes available when the line of succession is uncertain.
Quite simple change but I feel like it makes rather untactful difference bringing more "immersion" as the title suggests.
Now I’ve decided to adapt my mod into the AGOT mod.
Many of you might have noticed, while playing AGOT, that if both Baratheons and Targaryens go extinct, the throne goes to the rulers of Tarth, game taking the familial relations very strictly, while in reality (and in ASOIAF I assume too), such distant relatives wouldn’t be considered in line of succession, and so the lords of the realm would decide themselves, and this mod allows them to!
AGOT version have an additional feature, that being a decision allowing you to switch your children’s house to your own if either your dynasty is of higher standing than your spouses, or if you hold an empire title; if both of you hold an empire level title, than dynasty fame plays a role here, or you will gain access to the decision once your spouse dies…
Furthermore, to avoid annoying game-ends, I made it so that if the house of your relatives had already been contested, you will be able to choose on succession which house to belong to, and whether you want to form a cadet branch incorporating both houses into a coat of arms (and while AI won’t change the dynasty, on rare occasions they might form a cadet house).
This decision is particulary important here, since the mod limits availabilty of matrilineal marriage, but it is necessary to represent things like Daenerys potentialy gaining the throne and contiuing the Targaryen line (if she doesn’t find a potential relative, of course!)
I’ve tested the mod, but let me know if you find something broken or weird, especialy about the AGOT specific decision mentioned before.
The mod is rather focused on patrilineal succession, but I am considering giving the Dornish some love too! (idk how to code it yet, though)

I recommend disabling "House Stability", and "Enhanced Marriage" game rule, since those might conflict with the mod.
And enjoy!
