Originating from the mysterious world of Horse Race Tests, Jovial is a rushdown character focused on one thing and one thing only: Hype. Prepare to strike your opponents with a devastating knee, send them flying offstage with a hoof dive, or obliterate them with the ultimate power of the Jovial Kick.
By using Neutral Special, Jovial can produce and consume a tasty carrot, granting to them immense speed and strength. Carrot Install greatly increases Jovial’s horizontal movement capabilities for a full ten seconds, also transforming their neutral special into the powerful (and incredibly flashy) Jovial Kick. Be warned, though; Jovial’s stamina will run out once Carrot Install finishes, forcing you to take things slow for a little while.
Forward special is a movement tool, allowing Jovial to curl into a ball and bounce across the stage. Striking an opponent with this circular form makes for a great combo starter or follow-up. The duration of the attack can be extended by holding special, but be careful not to bounce your way off stage.
Hoof dive! Jovial hops into the air and lunges diagonally with both legs extended. It deals good knockback and is excellent at carrying unprepared foes right into the blast zones. Although its initial momentum sends Jovial downwards, the dive may be useful for recovery due to its long horizontal reach.
Leap into the air, then strike down with massive power! Or don’t- you can just use it to go up and then stop there. But why stop there when you can style on your opponent with a potent spike hitbox? Exactly! Always go for the hype moments!
