Love the Train Leader Pack
This is my eighth mod. The idea came to me on a boring night when I wondered why there couldn’t be characters from "Tetsudou Ouji" in Civ 6. I still struggle with balancing numbers, but I hope you have a good experience. Also, Eight Six and Kou are super cute (◍>◡<◍).
This mod adds two new leaders for Japan (Eight Six, Udako) and one for China (Watermelon).

Leader Ability: Railway Romance
+1 trade route capacity. After researching Steel, Industrialization, and Steam Power, gain an additional +1 trade route capacity. Trade routes yield +1 Production and +3 Gold. Upon entering the Golden Age, trade route capacity increases by +3, and all trade route yields increase by 50%, with a 10% boost to all city yields. Trade routes provide an extra +3 Gold, +1 Culture, and +1 Faith. For every 10 tiles a trade route passes through, these yields (Gold, Culture, Faith) increase by an additional +1.
Her unique unit, the Railway Automaton, automatically constructs railroads when moving. You receive one when you build your first city.
Unique Unit: Railway Automaton
Eight Six’s unique unit with high movement and vision, and 3 construction charges. If its health drops to zero, it auto-teleports back to the capital. Provides +1 Faith and +1 Culture. Adjacent units gain +1 Gold, +2 Combat Strength, and +2 Movement. Can move immediately after purchase. Can construct Eight Six’s unique improvement, the Platform.
Unique Improvement: Platform
Provides +1 Food and +1 Production. When the city’s Appeal is ≥0, it yields an additional +2 Gold, equal to the Appeal value in Gold. Provides minor yields to adjacent tiles. Platforms cannot be built adjacent to each other. Adjacent to a Wonder? +2 Culture. Each Platform in the origin and destination cities grants +3 Gold to the trade route and the destination city. +2 Appeal. After researching Steam Power, it generates Tourism.
Unique Improvement: Hot Spring Bath
Provides +2 Gold, +1 Culture, and +1 Housing. The first Hot Spring Bath in a city provides +1 Amenities. Each adjacent tile or Platform adds +1 Gold. Adjacent to a river? +1 Production. Built on a Geothermal Fissure? +2 Production, Gold, and Culture. Adjacent to a Farm? +1 Food. Every two adjacent Hot Spring Baths add +1 Culture. Provides Faith equal to 50% of Appeal. +2 Appeal. After researching Steam Power, it generates Tourism.
Leader Ability: Rails to the Future
Every time you meet a major civ, gain +1 trade route. Unlock an extra trade route when you research Steam Power. When creating a trade route, automatically build a Trade Post in the destination city. Trade routes passing through Trade Posts gain +1 Food, +1 Production, and +1 Culture. The Merchant unit automatically constructs railroads when moving. You receive one when you build your first city.
Unique Improvement: Hot Spring Bath
Provides +2 Gold, +1 Culture, and +1 Housing. The first Hot Spring Bath in a city provides +1 Amenities. Each adjacent tile or Platform adds +1 Gold. Adjacent to a river? +1 Production. Leader Ability: Zhongguo Railway
Unlock an extra trade route when you research Industrialization and Steam Power. Gain the current era’s Eureka and Inspiration when trade route quantities change. Each Farm and Mine in the destination city provides +1 Food and +1 Production to trade routes, respectively, and the destination city gains +2 Gold. Heavy Cavalry units gain +3 Combat Strength and automatically construct railroads when moving.
Unique Improvement: Train Station
Provides +1 Production and +2 Gold. Grants standard adjacency bonuses. Cities with this improvement receive a 15% discount on unit and building purchases. Triggers a culture bomb when constructed. Cannot be built adjacent to another Train Station, and only one per city. Unlocking more technologies and Civic yields provides additional Culture, Production, and Gold.
Adjacent to a Harbor or Industrial Zone? Extra +2 Production and +2 Culture. Adjacent to a Campus, Holy Site, or Theater Square? Extra +1 Culture. Adjacent to a Neighborhood? +4 Gold. Adjacent to a Commercial Hub or Government Plaza? +1 Gold. Adjacent to the Great Wall? Provides and receives the same adjacency bonuses as the Great Wall.
