Beastmen – Original Remake
The Beastmen remake that came with the DLC had some good features. But by god, did they make Beastmen the most overpowered faction in the game.
No repercussions for razing herdstones – Why? Now they’ll cause you to be at war with all surrounding factions!
No upkeep – Why? Now you actually have to pay for your goons!
No recruitment time – Why? Now you actually need to wait for your strong goons!
Too much growth – Why? Now you actually have to survive to reach end game, rather than turn 15!
Ambush on default movement stance – Why? No more! You actually need to ambush, to ambush!
No gors with spears, no bestigors with dual axes/axe and shield/halberds – Why!? Now there are! Big thanks to the mod author who created the original units, which I updated and incorporated into this mod. (If anyone knows who it was, please say so I can credit them.)
Lame lord traits – Now the originals have been restored, to before the remake!
Removed buildings – Restored the buildings that Beastmen use to have. Now to get upkeep reduction, you need to build them.
All lords add growth to each other – WHY!? Removed!
And a bunch of other small tweaks that I forget. And a few fixes.
Enjoy folks, this was a total pain in the neck to make.
Update: Removed ruination stage lock on army cap increases.
Update: All herdstones give 1 ruination per turn. This is to balance out herdstones being a very, VERY bad idea unless you are prepared for war on all sides.
Update: Prevents Beastmen plagues spawning in their vassals’ regions. However, they can still catch them from nearby regions and armies.
