Description:

After you were finished being interrogated by why you were near that weapon depot (in the process gaining some nice media attention for discovering a literal weapons cache) and finally repairing that hole in your apartment, you sit down to relax for a bit. Then, as you slowly settle down into your bathtub surrounded by candles, nearly slipping your finger into one in the process, your phone rings. It was your dad. You haven’t seen him in a while since he was busy taking both day and night shifts as a security guard at a military training area. He wanted you to come over and check out the new training areas they’ve been setting up over the past week.

Ascot was always known to be a bit of an unorthodox place. The training facilities being one of them. It was your traditional CQB training facility with a mock-up house made entirely out of wood. The odd thing is that the hallways are color coded as blue and rooms color coded as orange. It was said to improve accuracy and response times but how scientifically accurate it is, is up for debate. The area is currently in a complete blackout as the generator blew up. Whatever lights they have are ran by backup generators. Strangely enough the lights were hooked up to be ran on the backup generator as well so you basically have a light-show in the warehouse. It’s a bit strange.

Another fun little side project while I’m preparing for the next big map. I’ve had a renewed interest in tactical shooters recently, mainly because now I finally have some free time to myself. This one was going to start out with rather flat lighting for a realistic, muted look but decided that was just going to look too boring. So I basically stole the lighting style I did for the remake of Purple Dots and shoved it in here. It turned out looking pretty nice. This is also the first map small enough for me to push the lightmap way down to 6. Really cool.
