Description:

Apparently the Charger’s damage is tied to the animation itself, unlike majority of SI whose damage is controlled by a convar that can be edited.

This means that the Charger’s DPS cannot be changed unless the animations themselves are changed, however, here is how it works.

A frame in source runs at 30 fps, the Charger’s pound durations generally vary between 1.6 to 1.67 secs to finish; Coach and Louis are the sole characters whose common pounds are slightly longer than the others by two frames.

This means that they generally take damage about 70 miliseconds – almost a fraction of a second – later than others, and will generally die about a second later.

I have changed the fps of the animation to 50, so his animations will take exactly 1.0 second to finish, that gives the Charger a DPS that is quite similar of the AI Smoker, i also patched all the Survivors to finish their animations like Louis and Coach so they generally take damage every 1 second; this makes the animations about 37.5% faster.

Assuming the Survivors don’t bleed 3 health overtime when incapped, they will take 42 secs to die by the Charger normally, Coach and Louis take 44.

This reduces how long it takes for the Charger to kill a Survivor to 27 secs, and WILL definitely be shortened by the bleed out mechanic of the game.

And another thing, THIS mod occupies the Slot 02 FOR both Survivors and the Charger.
