Grand Campaign AD 634: Age of Heraclius
This mod essentially transforms the starting positions of the Total War Atilla Grand Campaign map into an elementary historically accurate mod, set in the year AD 634. The mod’s primary focus is centred on the Byzantine Emperor Heraclius during the onset of the Arab invasion of Byzantium and Persia.
List of Changes:
– Start date is AD 634 and the campaign map reflects this time period
– Many new changes to improve game play while retaining vanilla themes
– Hun spawn script disabled, and the remaining steppe factions are now Avars
– Byzantine Empire and Lombard’s exclusively use units from The Last Roman DLC
– Historically accurate Byzantine family tree
– Many new factions on the map
I plan to release an update on this mod in the coming weeks – transforming it into a true Age of Charlemagne (AoC) Grand Campaign with a full import of units and UI artwork from the AoC expansion into the framework of allowing me to develop multiple AoC Grand Campaign scenario modifications to cover the Dark Ages and early Medieval periods (AD 634-1100), including:
– AD 685 (Justinian II)
– AD 711 (Arab invasion of Spania)
– AD 768 (Age of Charlemagne)
– AD 867 (Age of Ragnar)
– AD 976 (Age of Basil II) – (Demo Version released on my steam workshop)
– AD 1071 (Manzikert)
– AD 1100 (Age of the Crusaders)
These will all be AoC based mods set on the Grand Campaign with AoC expansion pack units with UI and character artwork imported into fantastically fun and historically accurate Grand Campaign scenarios.
