The English translation of Maid Universalis is finally here!

This is the English translation for the mod "女仆之国" or Maid Universalis by ChouGou. After playing ChouGou’s amazing maid mod, I was thinking that his mod really need an English translation so that more people can enjoy it. I asked for his approval to translate his great mod and he approved it! Thank you for allowing me to translate your mod!

This is NOT a standalone mod, you cannot just subscribe to this mod. You will need to subscribe to the original maid mod also. Put this mod after the maid mod in the load order.

I try my best to translate this mod, but it’s mostly translated using AI to reduce the time needed to translate the entire mod, so please tell me if there’s anything weird with the translation results.

Oh and if you also like playing Stellaris, I recommend you try both of his Tasty Maid mods also. They are all available in English, no translation mod required!

Crafted with Care: All the maid portraits used in this mod are hand-drawn by the author.
Versatile Maids: The maids change based on culture, government type, tags, and other factors. There are dozens of different maid portraits, and some even have linked portraits with a mod that added a large chunk of land in the Pacific.

The Self-Serving Maid Class:

Loyal Maids: Maids are akin to eunuchs, with their power directly granted by the ruler. Their privileges are slightly stronger than those of other classes. However, as their influence grows, maids can also become corrupt…
Raising Heirs: Hunting and illness are very dangerous for heirs. Maids can secretly raise the heir, though the legitimacy of a child raised by maids may be lacking, but they won’t die unexpectedly.
Maids in Power: As the influence of maids rises, they will, like other classes, trigger power struggles. However, these struggles can lead to the formation of a special maid-led government.

Using Terrifying Maids to Corrupt Vassals:

Maid Vassal: Can be transformed from a vassal or a tributary state without consuming diplomatic relations. It will join its suzerain’s defensive wars but can declare war (both internal and external) and form alliances like a daimyo. Before federal reforms, it will compare total power like a vassal but can reduce its independence tendency through granting fiefs. The suzerain must invest diplomatic effort to centralize it, preventing internal conflict.
Maid Dominion: The highest-tier maid vassal, transformed from a centralized maid vassal. It only compares strength like a confederation, cannot freely declare war, but will consume diplomatic relations and take up some administrative capacity.
