PT/OT Music Massive Expansion
Over 80 completely new files of John Williams composed Star Wars music, all from the PT & OT movies. Edited & put together in-game for an upgraded, true-to-source Star Wars feel while playing. This is a submod for both the vanilla base game, & my mod EAW Campaigns & Conquests Conversion.
In total, there are now over 150 tracks in the entire game.
Downloading this mod gives you an HTML file that lists all the tracks, including ones already in-game, where they play in-game, & in that order unless listed otherwise with the key. Contains descriptions so if you don’t know where they’re from, that can help you find them in the movies. Anything not listed, has the same tracks from before in it, e.g. the Empire’s victory theme.
There are only 4 tracks not made by Williams that were in the base game left in this mod. Anything else created for EAW/FOC has been scrapped.
I’d like to first thank John Williams for the absolute treasure trove of incredible tracks to choose from for this mod. Next, Film Score Media, YouTube channel, has an astounding collection of the full scores from those 6 Star Wars movies, with clean ups of unreleased tracks; many of the tracks in here would not be possible to get a clean sample without them, please check them out. Lastly, thanks to Clint Bajakian, the music arranger for the Jedi Knight games, for putting together at the ready themes for use; the less editing I had to do with Audacity, the better.
If you want to directly launch into the mod, go to the properties for Empire at War in Steam and paste the following into launch options: STEAMMOD=3487130949
- AOTC_Tipoca_City_Return_To_Tatooine contains two tracks that are used in the PS2 Episode 3 video game; the main menu and the campaign death music.
- The_Conveyor_Belt is featured in many SW video games, but most notably BF2 2005 when you have to defend the Jedi Temple library from the Jedi on Coruscant.
- Padme_Falls is also used in BF2 2005, as Anakin’s theme during the Jedi Temple mission.
- Council_Meeting appears as an ambient theme for many maps during the Clone Wars for BF2 2005.
- Republic_Pilots_Take_Off has been used recently a lot, but the ending half of the track is very recognizable if you’ve played Star Wars: Bounty Hunter.
- ROTJ_Bounty_for_a_Wookiee was used as the 2nd half of the loading theme for Kashyyyk in the new BF2 game.
- Grievous_Arrives_On_Utapau has the second half of this track used during the start of Order 66 in Jedi: Fallen Order.
- Snowspeeders_Take_Flight was used extensively as the light side ambient track for Korriban in Jedi Academy.
- Bounty_Hunter_Pursuit_1 is actually used in this game! But you can’t play it, because it is used as the theme for the Empire’s victory movie in Galactic Conquest.
- Departing_Coruscant is used as the main menu theme on the DS for Star Wars: Elite Squadron.
- ROTJ_Darth_Vaders_Death is used as the Rogue Shadow’s final theme on the PS2 version of The Force Unleashed.
- Yoda_Appears is a unique track. I’m fairly sure all of these tracks have shown up in at least more than one game. But this one has only appeared in The Force Unleashed, when you speak with Lobot on Bespin.
