Description:

You’ve heard whispers in the wind, idle chatter in bars and amongst drifters.
There’s something in the north.
Something that drove the bandits insane and set the Leviathans to rampage.
Something that’s not quite a skeleton and not quite human.
An Ancient? A Demon? Narko herself? It’s hard to pull truth from myth but one thing is certain, there’s something up there and that’s where we are going.

This mod edits the Whistler race to be functional with my own interpretation of its textures, based off of the concept art.

There is a map to The Whistler’s location, sold at a certain rare document vendor.

If you’re lucky you may be able to convince The Whistler to join your squad.

Recommended for mid to late range squads.

This mod adds

* The Whistler race (finished) and playable

* Lost Ones race (whistler race, but with the head from the concept model)

* Corrupted Lost Ones race (whistler race with a more feral looking head)

* MKI headless skeletons and MKII default head skeletons

* 129 a lot of new lines of dialogue seriously, I lost count

* New point of interest to explore

* The Whistler’s head is now in the game In Cat-Lon’s ashdome

* Map to the Whistler’s location sold in The Great Library in Black Scratch and a 22% chance of being in ancient libraries

** Updates **

I recently found that the whistler’s textures were actually hidden in the game files, so I tweaked them a bit and replaced the Whistler’s textures.

Added in a head for the Whistler

Added in a male variant for the race

Added a Lost One race and a Corrupted Lost One race, that is the whistler race with the head attached.

Added more dialogue and added a few lore books.

I just released patches for the new races to be compatible with

SprendiX’s mod Military Craft

Blubb’s mod
Animation Overhaul

And AGO’s mod More Combat Animation

Please note, removal of mods can damage a save file. Importing after removal can fix the issue, but the import button is not magic. Back up your save game file before installing a new mod and if you decide that you don’t like the new mod go back to the save file before installing the mod. Save game corruption is never intentional, but it does happen when the game is expecting a line of code that is no longer there.
