Description:

"April 1948, Soviet Red Army forces in Königsberg was completely boxed in. The OKW had to scrap their plan for a quick massive assault because of the city’s strong defenses and that freak spring snowstorm. At this point, we were outnumbered 1 to 3 overall. The Reds could’ve busted through our lines any minute. After weighing options, High Command finally greenlit the Brandenburgers’ operation.

Here’s the play: We hit hard where they least expect it with the 501st Panzer Battalion covering our advance. Then the Reich Squadron’s Fallschirmjäger would airdrop supplies behind enemy lines. Let’s be real – this was suicide. The odds in our sector? A freakin’ 1 to 900. Screw this up and we lose our last bargaining chip at the peace table. Three days into this meat grinder, and now guess who’s jumping into the fire?

Good luck — Theodor von Hippel [Former Brandenburgers CO]"

Timeline confusion? Check this guide first before diving into other campaign updates: In July 1945, the Wehrmacht leadership sought to discontinue the war effort. Multiple field marshals and generals of the Oberkommando der Wehrmacht (OKW) secretly negotiated armistice protocols with Allied forces. By 1948, radical factions within the Soviet political apparatus seized an opportunity to detain the nation’s symbolic wartime leader and, in March of that year, launched an offensive against the newly established German administrative entity whose military forces were primarily deployed in the French occupation zone. The month-long delay in Soviet mobilization allowed German defensive units to coordinate an effective countermeasure, decisively repelling Soviet forces during the Second Battle of Berlin. However, logistical constraints stemming from troop shortages prevented further strategic advances.

By the way, once all campaigns are finalized, they will be fully integrated into ‌Project GD.
