Description:

Dear author of the original mod, thank you so much for the inspiration!

Subsequently, all the assets were completely redesigned, and the position of the HUD elements was pixel-perfectly aligned with the Dying Light screenshots.

The original concepts belong to Techland.

In this mod I decided to rework the vanilla HUD and a bit of the interface.
The changes touched:
Health Bar with Medkit&Pills panel – DL pixel-accurate position
Weapon box (Only melee/pistols icon’s and Primary&Secondary Ammo display) with grenade-slot icon – DL pixel-accurate position
Progress Bar – DL stamina pixel-accurate position
Team HUD (Health Bars, inventory, Status) – DL pixel-accurate position
White dot crosshair – DL pixel-accurate position

Icons of all firearms are made invisible, and icons of all melee weapon = 64×64 square, from DL.
The icons of the various tooltips have been replaced with those from DL, as well as the icons of all items.

Pain indicator changed to less distracting. Now it is blurry and translucent red like on DL.

Changed loading spinner to animated square from DL.

Changed Left 4 Dead 2 logo to a new colored one, similar to Dying Light style.

The names of the characters are no longer above their heads, as I found it distracting. BUT if you want such change, then you MUST relocate my .VPK file to your Addons folder, not Workshop.

Changes touched clientscheme.res, so it’s worth checking if there is a line in autoexec.cfg file
File location: …SteamsteamappscommonLeft 4 Dead 2left4dead2cfg
Line:
alias load_fonts "mat_setvideomode 3840 2160 1; mat_setvideomode 3840 2160 0"
load_fonts

;replace 3840 2160 with your resolution parameters

If you only want to see a white dot instead of the vanilla crosshair as in the screenshots, use any of the available mods that disable the crosshair.
You can also enter the command crosshair 0 personally in the console.
If you are too lazy to find such a mod, I suggest using No Consistency Check & No Vanilla Crosshair. Great if you are already using the "NO MORE CONSISTENCY CHECK!" mod by H.U.N.K. (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2586758926&searchtext=consistency).

Also. I suggest you use Melee Crosshair Removal.

I have a request for users. If you find a mistake, please don’t be offended as I am just a newbie.
If you have any suggestions for modifications, please share them – I will gladly try to implement it.

For example, I’m having trouble with making the character’s health meter white, not with gradations from green to red like in vanilla.
Also, at this point I have another problem that I couldn’t handle on my own. If anyone knows how to replace the xbox gamepad layout in the game, please share the info. I replaced "buttons_32" but it didn’t show up on the game.

I will try to update this mod as much as possible. Thank you all very much in advance for the feedback!

Have a nice day, friends!
