Description:

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World!
of Smack Studio at least.

The best 24-year-old ever (debatably) is here, taking on his appearance from Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: the Game. Born in Peterborough, Ontario, now living in Toronto, he wants to show off his moveset (some copied from other characters, but he really likes video games, so it’s okay), adjusted to match Smack Studio.

NEUTRAL SPECIAL: Counter
Scott glows, charging up a bright flash.
The center of the glow deals considerably more damage and Knockback.
As the first sound effect plays, Scott can turn around if the player hits the direction opposite of where he’s facing to perform the move behind him, dealing additional damage and Knockback. He is also invincible during this time period up until the flash turns red.
Hitting the Special button after the flash allows Scott to perform a quick sucker punch.

SIDE SPECIAL: TATSUMAKI SENPUKYAKU
Scott Pilgrim performs a quick moving whirlwind kick, able to hit up to six times, including the initial hit with his foot if someone is right on top of him. As he travels, he will deal more damage, have further Knockback and gain speed. His speed is based on his velocity. He won’t slip off edges until the move is over.
Pressing the Jump button will allow him to get a boost upwards.

UP SPECIAL: SHORYUKEN
Scott Pilgrim leaps into the air with a flaming fist, gaining decent height. The tail of the flame deals less damage than the head; the last hitbox of the move can toss the enemy behind Scott. Decisively ineffective on opponents on the ground, as he does not knock him upwards as he rises.

DOWN SPECIAL: JAM SESSION
Scott Pilgrim jams on his guitar dealing quick bursts of hitstun and miniscule damage repeatedly. Anyone above him after he’s finished will also get knocked upwards. This move lasts a while, and can easily charge his Ultra, though afterwards Scott is vulnerable.

ULTRA: AIR JUGGLE
Reluctantly, Scott had to cut out a hefty 43 punches (that’s otherwise 64!) from this move, instead pummeling the foe 20 times, in addition to automatically performing his form of Shoryuken.

SPECIAL MECHANICS
Scott Pilgrim’s Side Strong, when Charged, pushes him so far and so fast, he is likely to fly off stage, though recovery is quite possible if he is not already near the edge.
Back Throw allows him to begin running in the opposite direction. Pressing any direction before the enemy escapes will allow him to throw the foe.

PROS:
Plenty of Scott’s moves can hit multiple times, have long active frames and/or grant him surprising mobility and pressure potential.

CONS:
Some of Scott’s moves don’t hit unless he is right in the foe’s face, and many of them can not be stopped once they have begun.
