Darkseid
Darkseid, ruler of Apokolips, wields devastating strength, omega energy, and the manipulative power of Boom Tubes to dominate the battlefield. His combo system rewards unrelenting aggression, allowing players to charge and empower moves for devastating effects. His versatile specials include precise projectiles, mobility-enhancing charges, and punishing counters, each designed to crush his opponents’ will. Darkseid is not just a fighter—he is inevitability incarnate.
Specials:
Neutral Special (Omega Beam / Omega Surge):
Tap to fire a controllable Omega Beam, or tap again to charge Omega Surge, empowering the next attack. Empowered moves propel Darkseid in the held direction when charging the surge, allowing for mobility and devastating power. Charged attacks are fully cancelable and do not cancel on landing.
Up Special (Boom Tube):
Darkseid propels himself upward through a Boom Tube. On landing, he stomps to create a shockwave. While airborne, he can slam down immediately with a mid-air attack.
Side Special (Boom Tube Throw):
Throws a Boom Tube forward. If it hits an opponent, they are pulled back through the portal toward Darkseid, setting up devastating follow-ups.
Down Special (Counter):
Melee Counter: Darkseid punches through a Boom Tube, his arm emerging larger from another portal to demolish anyone in line.
Projectile Counter: Darkseid dashes to the attacker, Dodging the projectile while doing so, blasting them before returning to his original position.
Gameplay Style:
Combos and Aggression: Relentless offense builds power, with charged moves rewarding pressure. Empowered attacks combine mobility with power.
