Punic Wars: Rome 220BC
616 total states with a rising Rome right before the second Punic War against Carthage. Rome and Carthage don’t directly control their land as historically they had tribes and regions pledge loyalty, not fully annexed yet. We have a the Diadochi kingdoms to the east such as Seleucid Empire as the biggest power at the start. We even have the Maurya Empire in India as a strong contender, recently after they lost southern india to the new Satvahana Kingdom. Greco-Bactria and Parthia are also wary threats to the empires of the east. The entire map was pratically filled out due to the online resources of Cyowari on Deviantart (great map maker), and extra help from Ironandredwoods on Reddit with a great drawing of the map of the european tribes. Finally i also used a map of Maurya from thehindumapper on instagram to name the provinces of the empire. Alot of the other gaps were filled in by imperator rome ( arabia, Central Asia, and Ciscaucasia).
