Frostbite, the frozen spectre, has returned to rivals of aether with an all new chilling wrath! Frostbite has received a substantial overhaul to his kit, with new attacks, animations, and even supers! Frostbite is now a hybrid zoner, utilising long disjoints and projectiles to put his opponents on ice.

Nspecial: Shiver Skull
——————————————————–

Shiver skull is Frostbite’s go-to projectile. It travels in a straight line, but can be aimed up, down, left and right with the joy stick. This attack applies FROST to any opponent hit, and if the opponent has 3 levels of FROST, this attack consumes all levels and freezes the opponent in place for a short duartion.

Fspecial: Frozen Skewer

Frostbite summons a blade of ice in front of him that travels forward in a straight line. Applies FROST to opponents hit.

Dspecial: Shatter

Frostbite shatters all opponents with a FROST level, consuming the levels and dealing damage.

Uspecial: Frigid Glaive

Frostbite coats his arm with an icy blade and slices upwards. Applies FROST to opponents hit.

UNIQUE MECHANICS: THE FROST METER, FROST LEVELS, AND SUPERS

Frostbite’s unique resource is the Frost meter. This meter will fill whenever anyone in the match has a FROST level.

Several of Frostbite’s attacks will apply the unique FROST status on opponents, causing them to gain a FROST level. While an opponent has at least 1 FROST level, they will take damage over time. Opponents can have a maximum of 3 FROST levels on them.

When the FROST meter is full, Frostbite can use one of his 3 super attacks.

Mighty Glacier: Frostbite strikes the ground, creating a colossal spike of ice that devastates opponents. Performed by pressing SHIELD slightly after Fspecial or holding SHIELD and then Fspecial with full frost meter.

Meltdown: Frostbite grabs the opponent and slams them multiple times into the ground. Performed by pressing SHIELD slightly after Dspecial or holding SHIELD and then Dspecial with full frost meter.

Flash Freeze: Frostbite freezes every opponent on screen; applying max FROST levels and freezing them in place. Performed by pressing SHIELD slightly after Nspecial or holding SHIELD and then Nspecial with full frost meter. Can be performed in the air.
