Rarer Epic Mounts – SFO
In an effort to help alleviate how easily characters get strong mounts, and make things a bit more varied on the campaign map, this mod changes the level requirements for most of the stronger mounts, i.e. pegasus and higher, to be considerably later into the game. Pegasus tier mounts generally start at level 17 for melee lords/heroes, and 22 for casters, with star dragons being the rarest, gained at level 40. Some mounts that are gained very early on into the game are moved along slightly, and units with multiple mounts have had them spread more than others so you dont do 1-2 battles and change your mount again.
You should see a considerably change in your campaign experiences, with lords on bigger mounts being a much rarer sight.
Not compatible with other mods that change the level you get mounts.
