LK 2ACW US Federal Forces 1939
Its a silly alt-history mod created only as some side story for upcoming Nazi Germany fighting Indochina War. That one supposed to somewhat explain what happens before that in the USA and why it doesn’t particapate much in war in Europe. Based on and inspired by Kaizerreich, its very close to it in some parts and does differ in anothers. Most used assets currently are from SPE, but SOG is also used for proper m1903s, m1897, Tommy guns’ variants and some vehicles and headgear.
I recommend to use with my other mod to make sure SOG weapons’ sounds will blend togerther with SPE ones.
Standalone Campaign Hat
This exact mod only covers the faction of US Federal Armed Forces.
After almost a decade of Great Depression and outbreak of War in Europe, October’s Revolution starts in US in 1939, but this uprising is being brutally supressed by Federal forces and different volunteer militias. Not many active cells are left in the mainland US, but Alaska on the other hand is a success. Being supplied with Soviet volunteers, weapons and gear, it turns red. That shakens the current goverment, allowing for many different radical paramilitaries and characters to grow stronger.
The new era of Red Scare begins with US Navy starting an Alaska blockade to cut rebels of their Soviet suppliers. The hunger starts, and many civilians are caught in a crossfire. Marines are getting ready to invade from the sea, and Army is mobilized to invade from Canadian border with the help of their northern neighbour.
A new menace comes from the East with Empire of Japan not wasting a brilliant opportunity. While Europe is already starting to burn, Japanese forces attack USA which is already weakened by internal conflict.
Regulars – Still wearing Brodie helmets and campaign hats, some soldiers do have M1 rifle, but mostly armed with M1903 and other weapons eligible for the time period.
USMC – No garands here, chief. Older gear, campaign hat with USMC insignia and Brodies.
Tropic units – Stationed in the Pacific, they wear blue denim uniform and Daisy Mae hats, also still using Campaign Hats and Brodie. M1 Garand rifles didn’t arrive there.
Buffalo Soldiers – Regiments composed of African-American soldiers mobilized to fight off the Communist Rebellion and Japanese Invasion.
Randomization – all units use a randomization eventhandler for spawning with different headgear, uniforms and insignia patches.
Vehicles – Almost authentic for the time period. No tanks of armored cars, just wheeled trucks and jeeps. Also no proper aircraft currently. Reconfigured to have a proper cargo items. Will add some proper missing stuff with soft dependancy system or myself.
Groups – all units do have a configured groups for some easy game setup.
Zeus – all units and groups should be avaliable for usage with Game Master module.
Shadow casting might work wrong with Campaign hat, but sadly its an engine issue for brimmed headgear.
No ammoboxes.
No proper editor previews.
LK icon instead of the proper inventory icons for new added custom stuff or just using the CDLC/Vanilla icons straight up.
Winter subcat or full faction.
Flags.
Paramilitaries and militias for all sides of the conflict.
Fascist faction including Silver Shirts and others.
NF soft compat for more Soviet stuff.
EAW soft compat for some vehicles, land and air, also for players to have a proper early PTO.
M1917 light tank.
Kaizerreich HoI4 mod for inspiration.
Ravenholme for helping me out with the configs.
Locke and Shoplifter for testing.
Avry for testing and providing help with Denim uni.
Simcardo for the help with SPE hiddenselections and configs.
HOW team for the retexture templates.
SEP team for their stuff, since its a hard dependancy.
SOG, since Prairie Fire did fill some missing bits in there.
Everyone else for feedback and support.
