ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE SAYS GOODBYE TO THEIR FRIENDS
Hello, today I bring you another one of the almost 40 scripts I’ve designed and not yet released — a script that improves performance without killing immersion. Here’s what it does: After a battle, when AI soldiers feel safe or detect no threats nearby, they will approach their fallen comrades, place them in body bags, and say goodbye with a military salute. In a future script called "AI friendship and personal behavior", this system will evolve — soldiers who were friends may mourn longer, cry, place a flag, move the body to a safe zone, fire shots in the air, or even hold a farewell ceremony if the fallen was beloved by the unit. These features will be compatible once that script is released.
- ✝️ Functionality:
*Very simple: when AI is out of combat and not injured, it will walk to fallen comrades and place them in body bags
*The AI will give a military salute as a final goodbye
*They will also bag fallen civilians or independent enemies, but skip the salute
*They’ll only do this when safe, but may also do it during combat if it seems productive
In my vanilla system this works perfectly. I can’t ensure compatibility with every single Workshop mod, nor do I plan to. It would take years. If a mod causes issues, I apologize, but I cannot make this or my other works 100% compatible with every system or setup.
This script has zero impact on performance, so don’t worry about it.
Soon I’ll release the mod that lets AI say goodbye by placing friends in body bags (maybe by the time you read this, it’s already live). Other scripts coming soon: AI requesting reinforcements, RPG system, terrain awareness, building barricades, rescuing teammates, healing… all already done — I’ll release them gradually. My goal is to revive the best Arma 3 mode: **OPEX**, with all these systems included.
