Millipede
After pickup, Isaac no longer has tear delay, but he can’t fire a tear if there is already one on screen (familiar tears don’t count). It also gives a 0.2 shot speed bonus.
It’s an interesting mechanic that forces the player to adopt a risky playstyle and there are lots of synergies (both very good and very bad).
Insane synergies: Technology 1, especially combined with multi shot (inner eye, quad shot, etc.)
Good synergies: Items that increase tear travel speed. Items that upgrade damage. Items that fire multiple tears in one shot. Items that lower tear fire rate (the penalty is nullified). Items that give non-explosive tear effects.
Bad synergies: Items that give better tear rate, specially the ones that lower damage or other stats. Any type of piercing or spectral tears.
Terrible synergies: soy milk, cursed eye.
Charge items override this effect and behave as usual.
This item is loosely based on game mechanics from the 80’s "Millipede" game.
