Skaven-Warlord Variants: Clan issue.
No-one picks Warlords for anything other than the sake of it. No magic and no good 1v1 potential like the Master Assassin leaves them only useful for their mounts, of which are either replaced by base units or Chieftains.
So I thought, "Warlocks are Skryre, Master Assassins are Eshin, Grey Seers are agents of The Priesthood of the Horned Rat. The only lord that makes sense for every clan is the Warlord, but why would a Pestilens Warlord look like a Skryre one?" Then I made this mod.
Sure, it’s weird when the A.I recruits a Skryre lord for Mors, but thrall clans exist and they could just be Lords that received training or brought their way into their armour, so it’s less weird then Master Assassins being recruitable to fight against Eshin. Plague cults, Moulder Labs and Skryre Workshops are common in all decent sized Skaven settlements; Eshin has their own Thralls that might swap hands or have dissenters, and Rictus can either be mercenaries or a regular Warlord with different armour. What I am trying to say is that I can’t stop Rictus hiring Pestilens variants so deal with it; it isn’t that improbable.
.
Into content:
Twelve variants in all; two for Rictus; Skryre, Pestilens, and Moulder; three for Eshin + one unaffiliated.
No scavenger or expressly "non-skaven" looks. I.e, no variants with Lizardmen armour.
Compatible with the Variant Selector Mod (Highly recommended.)
A unique weapon and shield is given to each variant, so Skryres get tech-blades.
New Unit-cards and Port-holes for all variants.
No replaced variants, so the total is 13 *wink wink.* The price of progress.
No compatibility issues afaik; nor should there be any.
Should work with other Variant mods and mods that add mounts.
