Description:

This has been a request time and time again. Lots of you wanted your soldiers to develop relationships on their own.

This mod introduces memory and dynamic relationships to your soldiers. Soldiers now remember. They keep track on who saved them, who left them behind, and who they can count on in the heat of battle. A soldier heals a teammate? They get closer. A soldier blasts another with friendly fire? They lose trust. You can now see your crew work together, and as they help each other, it changes their relationships.

After the mission, this data is used to adjust cohesion, the system already in XCOM 2, and may result in soldiers forming:

❤️ Romances

👫 Friendships

⚔️ Rivalries

These outcomes were previously only possible manually through my Complex Bonds Add-on. Now they happen dynamically, in a way that feels natural and earned (manual bonding still works too, if that’s your preference).

🔧 Full Feature List:

  • ✅ Memory system during missions: Soldiers record key interactions with each other.
  • ✅ Automatic post-mission cohesion changes based on those interactions.
  • ✅ Dynamic creation of special relationships using Complex Bonds Add-on functionality.
  • ✅ .ini configurable: Add modded abilities for tracking, and fine-tune how cohesion changes.
  • ✅ Custom logic for romance: Increase odds based on common traits like nationality and attitude Allow polyamory and same sex couples.
  • ✅ Team Cohesion Re-Enabler integration: Lets soldiers form multiple relationships.

🛠 Don’t ignore the Required mods, you need all 3.
🛠 MCOs UISoldierBondAlert. Incompatible with anything that also MCOs that.

🧩 FAQ
-Needs new campaign?
No.
-LWotC?
I think so.
-Modded abilities?
This mod supports any modded perk for which both the user and the target(s) are XCom Soldiers, if you add it to the XcomGame.ini. I haven’t tested every perk, that’s where I’ll be spending most of the time during beta testing.
-What about the Family option?
The mod has a setting to make people with the same surname a family. But Family is best set manually.
