Description:

Life before death…

SUPER Alpha – **might break saves!**
Brings parts of Brandon Sanderson’s The Stormlight Archive to Rimworld.
(possible spoilers for the series!)

Currently implemented:

  • Highstormslong, very damaging storms that can infuse spheres and pawns with Stormlight when outside
  • Stormlightability power source contained in bags of infused spheres. Radiant pawns will have a Need for Stormlight that can be filled with infused spheres or by being outside in a Highstorm
  • Sphere bagsif left or worn outside during a Highstorm they will be infused with Stormlight. Worn like a shield belt but doesn’t prevent ranged. Crafted at a machining table
  • Shardplate – armor that absorbs all damage as long as its Stormlight reservoir isn’t depleted. Gives moving and manipulation buffs while full of Stormlight and progressively more punishing debuffs as it’s damaged
  • Shardblades – ancient, giant, incredibly light and sharp swords. Kills living tissue on contact. Can strike in a wide arc around the wielder
  • Radiant healinga Radiant with available Stormlight can heal even the most grievous injuries, including regrowing limbs
  • Windrunner abilitiesbasics like flight and lashings that depend on Stormlight

Info:

  • plate/swords can only be spawned in and probably will never be craftable (as per current book lore). a special event in the future will feature a raid involving a Shardbearer where players have the chance to take their Shards
  • default settings have a chance to trigger Radiant abilities when a pawn is downed or in a mental break and there’s something hostile to the pawn on the map. A warning will fire that the pawn can become Radiant if given Stormlight. Highstorms increase this chance and provide the necessary Stormlight.
  • most of these settings will be tweakable in the future if not already in the mod’s settings.
  • Radiants have a chance to speak another Ideal of their Order every time they’re in the situation that made them Radiant in the first place
