Description:

The 116 was the first high density DMU design for the Western Region Dieselisation Scheme. It got introduced in 1957 and served well into the 1990s. This particular model represents the first batch of 116s from Derby C&W Works, in BR Rail Blue with the British Rail double-arrow logo, as was common in the early-mid 1970’s.

Features:

  • 1970s livery with BR logo, first class yellow stripe.
  • Working 4-marker arrangement from the first batch with emissive head/tail lights
  • The trailer has first and second class (DBMS+TC+DMS)
  • 3-Car and Power Twin set (the two ex-factory configurations)
