Class 108 in Blue/Grey
The Class 108 was an updated version of the "Derby Lightweights" but with a revised cab and blue square control system. A total of 333 of these alloy constructed vehicles were built between 1957 and 1960 and saw use well into the 1990s.
The set modelled here is in refurbished state from a build series with the larger four character roof box. It is in Buxton depot style Blue/Grey livery with 2nd class seating only. Due to its shorter frame and part aluminium construction, you’ll find that especially the ‘power twins’ have very good acceleration.
