The Top And Flops Mod [1.9.4]
This mod aims to give Game Dev Tycoon a new life while keeping its spirit alive.
- Up to 105 new consoles to expand your Game Dev Tycoon experience;

The Top and Flops Mod adds a total of 101 platforms and 15 platform evolutions over time, over the course of 45 years!
Besides the evergreen and well-known big names in the industry, we also get to know other companies that have tried their best in the ever-growing gaming market, from Itara to Senclair, TNK and Megavoxel.
All the platform assets were carefully made to look like as close as possible to the art style present in the main game: I’m trying to make it so that the player almost doesn’t know when the main game ends and the mod begins.
Some people may not want all the platforms, so since the latest update you can now select presets of platforms you want to see in the settings right before starting your journey!
The Top and Flops Mod also adds 30 new random events that will happen randomly during your gameplay.
Gone are the days when everything spread slowly, now is the age of the Internet and that also brings… quite a few risks! Interact with fans being mad over your games, random trolls or "hackers" intimidating you.
And whether it’s chasing away cockroaches, appealing to law enforcement, making absurd decisions, or resolving conflicts within your society, you’ll always have the final say in these new adventures!
This mod also aims to add new topics, researches, and 7 new genres for your games! Most will be unlocked at the start, but some will need to be earned through experience (and career, mostly).
Furthermore, the mod expands the game’s storyline, with up to 150 new notifications regarding platforms, companies, industry news and more!
I also understand this may be annoying for some, so I recommend disabling automatic pop-ups.
I’m considering creating a feature to filter out "unnecessary" notifications.

The Top & Flops mod is meant to be played alone, therefore compatibility with other mods is quite limited and not guaranteed.
As of version 1.6.0, TT&FM is partially incompatible with other mods that add platforms or topics. I am currently working on a fix.
As TT&FM is still in constant development, you may encounter some errors or bugs during your GDT gameplay. If so, please report anything to me. Remember to update once in a while!

Here’s all the future plans for TT&FM.
- A lot of new events, both random and storyline;
- New custom genres;

- New settings and assets for custom consoles (idea);
- My own fake storyline with platforms from my imagination and events;
- Better post-endgame and a "true ending";
- Built-in translations for other languages;
- More UI tweaks;
- Better general customization (customizable presets, toggle topics/genres, removable UI tweaks)
- This mod works much better with the Modding beta of the game (properties –> beta –> modding)
- In the new platform button UI, longer platform names may clash and cover the market share.
- In the PC-Only platform presets, notifications related to the original-game platforms are still displayed. This is due to the way the game handles storyline notifications.
- Horror and Racing topics are replaced by their respective genres.
- All the assets were entirely made by humans, not clankers! No AI tool has been used for making the assets.
