NUKETOWN ZOMBIES
Mass-energy equivalence, secret tests, crash-landing perks. Survive in the iconic Nuketown, where the past and the future come together.
I heard you loud and clear, and I’m pleased to announce that Nuketown will be compatible with mods.
As part of this update, Nuketown will no longer include the following features:
– HUD
– Weapon kits
– Gamemode menu
– 8-player support
– Bots
Why this change?
These features were never truly compatible with mod support.
Due to extensive file modifications, ensuring long-term compatibility would have been impossible.
Additionally, support for these features is now outdated.
Today, many mods offer similar and even improved functionalities compared to what Nuketown originally had.
A collection of recommended mods will be available to help preserve the spirit of the original project.
What about the future?
Well, to be honest, nothing is planned at the moment.
This update is here to satisfy the countless requests I’ve received over the years—I felt bad leaving you hanging.
Unfortunately, real life has taken over, and I’ve had to make some tough choices, as many of you know.
That said, I’ve hidden a small surprise in this update—I hope you are ready to dig in and investigate!
A quick note to fellow modders:
I’m also sharing soon the Nuketown source code, in case you’d like to implement your own changes in your mods.
I apologize in advance for the code quality—Nuketown was where I first learned scripting, so some parts are poorly structured or badly implemented.
Want the old version back?
If you absolutely want to keep the previous version, please let me know.
If there’s enough demand, I’ll consider uploading it as a separate version on the Workshop.
Thank you all for your support over the years.
See you soon,
Clément G aka Clix
