ARVN 1965 – SOG + S&S Factions
A simple mod with vests and a faction config for ARVN in the early stages of the Vietnam War.
Partake in perilous counterinsurgency operations in South Vietnam with (somewhat) authentic early-war ARVN troops!
Or save them from being overrun in a US Army airmobile QRF mission. Or even overrun them yourself in a PAVN/NLF attack mission.
Currently only includes basic, non-specific ARVN grunts. Later on I will include Airborne, Rangers, Marines, etc. All will be relatively early war; there are plenty of existing faction mods depicting late war ARVN equipment rather well.
These factions are made with the help of Drongo’s Config Generator, and NOT ALiVE ORBAT. I will not make them ALiVE compatible, simply because I don’t know how :chad:.
All credit goes to simcardo and the goonworks/lcd_44 team for the excellent assets I used to make the gear. Also obviously to SGD studios for SOG:PF itself.
NOTE: From date of release (2025 July 25), I will be gone for 6-7 weeks. Expect no updates or contact from me.
ALSO: If you are well-versed in ARVN gear or Vietnam history in general, please contact me. I would like to expand my knowledge base in order to update this mod to be more realistic and cover a wider breadth of units and gear.
