Description:

This is a mod aimed at improving the logic of the AI in various aspects, with a focus on diplomacy, budgeting, economy and other smaller tweaks that improve decision making.
The goal is to improve the logic of the AI without guiding it in a significant way nor helping it with buffs.

Main Improvements
Economy
  • Various improvements to AI economic logic, changing to better production methods, adopts new goods easier etc
  • AI uses most suitable decrees where they are needed most
  • AI no longer going bankrupt on railway/port/power_plant subsidies, not allowing foreign investors to exploit subsidised buildings
  • Improved AI scaling for construction and buildings queueing
  • Dynamic construction budget adjusting according to construction goods prices and shortages
  • Dynamic army and navy budgeting, taking into account the current military costs for goods/wages
  • Extra AI logic when constructing government administrations for tax capacity to avoid under/over-building
Diplomacy
  • AI no longer adds wargoals where an invasion would be unfeasible
  • Proper logic for what countries/states can be invaded, including middle puppets, naval strength comparison and adjacency to incorporated territory
  • Improved AI logic for swaying countries to their side, if an AI has enough preference for one side it is highly likely there is a valid wargoal to be swayed by so they can join the play
  • AI supports revolutions under certain scenarios where they are very close ideologically, especially under ideological union blocs. Better calculation for ideological comparison
  • AI supports secessions of its primary cultures
  • AI creation of power blocs and identity selection logic improved based on strategic reasons and current political situation, AI joining/leaving power blocs should be more dynamic
  • AI takes into account the current and potential natural resources of states when determining their value
Warfare
  • AI no longer mobilises excessive troops in minor wars and better adjusts mobilisation compared to enemy strength
  • Wargoals like humiliation and liberate country rebalanced, reasonable reasons for humiliation
  • AI upgrading more easily to advanced units/mobilisation options, like troops using radios/tanks (core vanilla problem remains…)
  • AI chooses most suitable commanders for leading battles
  • AI attempts creating specialised formations better at defence/offence etc
Other
  • Only one power bloc statue for each member, placed in capital
  • Some of the decrees from Better Decrees have been integrated, balanced and adjusted their AI weights

Future Goals
  • Make AI use more treaty articles as wargoals, according to their strategies, as part of an economic warfare mentality

Compatibility

Most things that touch the AI are probably incompatible or would disturb the balance. Always load the mod last just in case, although it probably isn’t required.
Notable exceptions that affect politics, like the Better Politics Mod (BPM) , should be ok as the influence of this mod on politics is minimal.
