Old World Caravans – Update Notes
The caravan configuration has been completely reworked, and overall caravan roster sizes have been reduced to improve balance and controllability.
The differentiation and uniqueness of each caravan have been further enhanced. With only a few exceptions, such as the Ogre caravan “Monopoly Magnate,” every race’s caravan now includes at least one representative faction-specific unit.
The enemy army compositions have been redesigned, and most event reward units as well as arrival reward units have been rebalanced. The distinction between early and late campaign progression is now more pronounced.
Caravan battle unit levels now scale with campaign progression:
First 60 turns: Enemy forces and reward units will mainly consist of tier 3 to 5 units.
After turn 60: Enemy forces will gradually shift toward tier 5 elite units, potentially including special units.
Note: If Mixu’s Southern Realms and Araby factions are not enabled, players can still obtain the corresponding faction reward units when certain major settlements are occupied by any faction. These include cities of the Southern Realms such as Miragliano, Remas, Magritta, and Araby settlements. This rule does not apply to Vampire Coast, Skaven, or Beastmen units.

Now compatible with Marienburg Caravans.
Malakai can now properly recruit (Kislev) caravans.

This mod is an extended and redesigned version of the Caravans of the Old World, with overhauls to caravan traits, starting units, encounter events, destination rewards, enemy battles, and more. Special thanks to TWilliam for granting permission and providing technical support!
This mod brings a Cathay-style caravan system to several Old World factions, including: The Empire, Dwarfs, Bretonnia, and Kislev. Caravans used by the Empire’s Golden Order have some unique distinctions compared to other factions.
This mod is in English by default, but you can use the same localisation submods as the original mod:

This mod is compatible with most non-caravan mods. However, please do not activate the original Caravans of the Old World mod while using this one. This mod already incorporates the original author’s Kislev and Golden Order submods, so please do not activate them at the same time. In theory, other submods should be compatible, but if you encounter any compatibility issues during gameplay, feel free to report them in the comments section.
Some factions do not start within their homeland (e.g., the Golden Order led by Balthasar Gelt). You need to capture a settlement within your cultural homeland to unlock the caravan system.
Yes, but you can mitigate this by dispatching a caravan led by a Peasant Commander, which increases your peasant cap by 2 per settlement.
