Landless Vikings
Landless Vikings adds 10 new landless adventurers in 867 along the North of Europe to represent viking influence in the region. Each begins with the viking trait and 100 soldiers, except Olafr who retains his 600.
In Ireland, 3 Norse vikings represent the "longphort" of Limerick (861), Waterford (853) and Wexford (819). Cork isn’t represented due to the vanilla county/barony setup and changing that is beyond the scope of the mod. Thorir Helgason, who established Limerick as a permanant settlement by 922 is represented as the son of Helge in 867.
In Brittany, Olafr of Leon is made a landless advernturer with his successor Hakon as son with a mother. County Leon is returned to the Breton Guyomarch. The vikings did raid and establish temporary settlements along the Brittany coast for which Olafr represents.
In France, Völundr, a historical viking who worked for King Charles during the 860s to attack Norse along the Seine, is based in Paris with a positive relationship with the King.
In Zeeland, north of France, Ásgeirr, a historical viking, friend of Haesteinn, had sacked Rouen (841) and spent 850s raiding the Seine. He may have been based in Walcheren so why I chose Zeeland.
Along the Baltic Sea, I added a Norse viking to Truso, a trading post influenced by the Norse and to represent other cultures with viking traits I added adventurers in Rugen (Polabian), Courland (Latgalian) and Saaremaa (Estonian).
Mod should work with everything except mods that make changes to Olafr of Leon.
