[TABS] Object 640 "Black Eagle"
I’m Fame. I’m a Teardown mod creator, who’s been creating tanks, trucks, and other things for around 3 years. Notably, I’m also one of the prominent developers who contributes to the TABS Vehicle Pack, the pack that started it all.
The Russian Object 640, also known as the Black Eagle, was a prototype main battle tank developed in the 1990s by the Omsk Design Bureau. Based on a modified T-80 chassis, it featured an elongated hull, new turret design, and an autoloader-fed 125mm smoothbore gun, with plans for a 152mm upgrade. The tank incorporated modular composite armor and a separate ammunition compartment for improved crew survivability. Despite its promising features, the project was cancelled in the early 2000s due to funding issues and the consolidation of Russia’s tank industry under Uralvagonzavod. The Object 640 never entered production, but some of its concepts influenced later Russian tank designs.
To spawn, press ‘B’, navigate to ‘Soviet Union’, then ‘Cold War-Present’, then ‘MBTs’, and the Object 640 should appear there. Ensure that you have the TABS framework properly installed first!
