The Hoarder | DD2 Provisions
DD2 inspired Provision Screen replacer. Adds 31 new Supplies.
- New supplies with FX Sprites
- Overhauled base game Provisions
- 44 Provision slots (still 18 for inventory, this only applies to Provision screen)
- Say Hi! to the Hoarder
- Adds Poultices, Restoratives, Traps, Contraptions, etc. from DD2.
- All items -except Meals and throwables- have matching Sprites ("use animations").
- Brand new Provision screen, featuring the Hoarder.
- Provision slots expanded to 44. Regular inventory size is not affected (no changes made).
- I left 3 slots empty so you can still buy The Blood, The Cure and Aegis Scale.
- Available stock depends on Quest length.
- See the screenshots for item effects.
- Safe to add/remove midgame (make sure that your’re not in a dungeon and to remove items from inventory before removing).
If you want only the Provisions: The Hoarder | Provisions Only
Something is not working, too strong or too weak? Prices or item counts too low/too high?
Any items you never end up taking with you? Found a typo or a wrong color?
Let me know!
There’s only so much testing I can do, so any feedback and criticism is welcome.
Load this above other UI and Tooltip mods or mods that expand provision slots.
Not compatible with other provision screen mods, provision slot expansions or mods that add extra provisions/supplies.
Not compatible with Provision NPC replacers.
I had to place some elements on top of the NPC and the background to blend it all together, so if you replace it there will be weird gaps and mismatching textures.
If you want to use a different skin, see Patching.
Should work with Inventory expansions, but some items might be off screen after buying. You should still be able to see them normally once you’re in a dungeon.
This mod replaces the following textures for ALL menus:
- Progression Bar at the bottom of the Hamlet menus.
- Estate Title Banner in the top left corner.
- Gold Coin and Shard Currency icons in shop widgets.
- Gold icon in the bottom left corner (inside Progression Bar).
There’s a file named NPC_Replacer_Template.xcf inside the mod folder. The file can be opened with a program like Gimp and contains the different textures for the NPC as individual layers.
Just replace the Hoarder texture with your skin and overwrite provision.character.png in campaigntownprovision. Done.
You can disable individual supplies from this mod by removing the relevant entries in campaignprovisionDD2_Provisions_Supplies.provision.json.
You can find empty frames for the different item types in panelsicons_equipsupply.
Q: Why didn’t you make item XYZ from DD2?
A: There’s a limit to how many items you can fit on screen in DD1, so I focused on items that fill a niche or serve a clear purpose.
Q: But item XYZ is different in DD2?
A: DD2 uses a different game engine and some effects can’t be replicated in DD1 (or it’s not worth the hassle). Some items were changed to better fit in with DD1 gameplay.
Q: Why no sprites for throwables and meals?
A: Throwables need Target FX Sprites (afaik). Those have to be added to each hero’s folder and this would require individual patches for modded classes. I don’t know why I can’t get sprites for meals to show up.
