Faction Upgrade (Yabuta Outlaws) ENG
Faction Upgrade is my mod series aimed at improving the various factions of the Kenshi world. The mod will affect the following things:
1. Weapons and armor
2. Cities and bases
3. Squads
4. Dialogues
5. Starts
The Faction Upgrade (Yabuta Outlaws) mod is aimed at improving the faction of the same name.
Changes:
City
The Endin has been changed. After Yabuta is liberated, Yabuta’s followers will occupy it and rebuild it. There will be faction barracks and residents’ houses, as well as a traveler’s shop and a bakery. The Guard Outposts of the Empire’s Guards and the Old Tower of the Holy Nation will also be captured by Yabuta’s people.
In order for Fort Simion to go to Yabuta, you will have to kill or capture Simion, otherwise the Rebellious farmers will continue their fight.
After the death of Emperor Tengu and Lord Inaba, if Yabuta is released, the Followers will occupy Stoat.
Lore and dialogues
The faction received a new name – Followers of Yabuta. Now it is a sect of aggressive monks (An example from history is the monks of Ikko – Ikki)
While their spiritual leader is in prison, the sect’s preachers will travel across the Empire, calling the people to revolt and preaching the word of Yabuta. You can talk to them and use donations to improve relations with the faction. But at the same time, relations with the Holy Nation and the Empire will worsen.
Yabuta can be found in Tengu’s Vault, where it will be possible to start a dialogue with him, which will either improve or worsen relations with the faction. If you release him, you will immediately receive an alliance. But this step will start a bloody civil war for the northwest of the Empire.
Squads
While Yabuta is in captivity, gangs of mercenary monks can be found in some cities of the United Cities.
Monks are divided into three types:
Bonze – is the leader of the gang. The strongest among them
Sohei – is a heavily armed monk warrior with a naginata or tetsubo
Yamabushi – is a light warrior armed with a katana and occasionally a crossbow.
Weapons and Armor.
As mentioned above, the faction’s theme was the warlike warrior monks of medieval Japan, Ikko-Ikki. They are mostly dressed in light clothing that does not interfere with combat, but does not provide serious protection.
All armor and weapons can be found in the Empire’s stores.
Armor and weapons can be purchased at the Faction Forge or at Empire stores.
