The Vz.24 was a Czechoslovakian development of the Kar98 AZ, a carbine based on the G98 itself. These rifles saw services in a multitude of armies, including the Czech, Slovak (The puppet German government established after the occupation), China, Romania and even Spain, where they made a debut freshly arrived for the Battle of the Ebro (so fresh in fact they were still wrapped and covered in oil from the factory when the crates were opened) and the subsequent retreat to France after the Republican defeat.
In WW2, it’s main "official" user was Germany, who kept producing them in the occupied factories and used it seemingly interchangeably with other Mausers due to their similarities
