RealFace
This is a proof of concept mod, that you can add own photos for pawns, by setting hairs instead of heads.
To add your own face pics, you will need a graphical editor like GIMP[www.gimp.org] or something equal.
To change the head/hair use the Character Editor mod.
I also recommend to use Camera+ mod, which allows to zoom in.
To add own pics, follow these steps:
1.
Make 3 photos of you (from front, back, side), like the examples in the mod folder:

2.
Save your photos on your pc and name them:
Front.png
Back.png
Side.png
3.
Open the photo with gimp (or similar app).
Eradiate all background, so that only the face with hair is visible on the transparent background.
Resize the image to the max height of 128.
Set the canvas size to 128×128 pixel and save.
4.
Resize the image to 132×132 pixel.
5.
Remove the saturation. When using gimp, set the saturation to -100.
Remove contrast and brightness. When using gimp, set brightness to -127 and contrast to 127.
Now you should see just the black silhouette of your head.
6.
Drag and drop your saved photo (128×128) to the silhouette.
When its not in center, center it, so that your photo is surrounded by the silhouette.
7.
Resize the image to 70×70 pixel.
8.
Change the canvas size to 128×128. When using gimp, click on center button, to center the head.
Now save the image in the mod folder:

When using gimp, click on file -> ‘export as’ instead of save.
Save Back as SampleX_north.png
Save Front as SampleX_south.png
Save Side as SampleX_east.png
9.
Start the game, load a map, open character editor and select your pawn.
10.
Click on the hair label. The color dialog for hairs will open.
Scroll down until you find the SampleX hair. Click on its label.
Now you’re done. Your pawn will use your head.
When you want to add more heads then you will also need to change the RealDefs.xml in the Defs folder.
Open it with a text editor.
1. Copy one HairDef block and paste it below of the last block.
2. Change all ‘Sample1’ of your block to another name, like ‘Sample2’.
3. Save the XML.
4. Now you can add new hair/head named as Sample2_east, Sample2_north, Sample2_south to the Textures folder.
