Description:

A simple mutator that changes the mass of a vehicle’s wreckage.
On tight, cramped maps, vehicle wrecks can greatly impede the map flow. This mutator allows you to lower the vehicle’s mass so that other vehicles can push them aside without impeding their movement. You can even kick a low mass wreckage and send it flying!

This mutator is compatible with Permanent Wrecks. When enabled alongside this mod, vehicle wrecks will be movable for some time before being "anchored" in place by the other mutator, but it is still possible to squeeze by them thanks to the low mass setting. Make sure you enable the Movable configuration setting in that mod.

For this mod, you can configure the following:

Wreckage Mass

– The mass of the vehicle wreckage measured in kilograms; self explanatory.
– Avoid setting this value too low or too high (as doing so defeats the purpose of this mod), as very low mass rigidbodies have a tendency to get sent flying by the slightest touch!

Delay Before New Mass Applied

– A delay in seconds before the value configured above is applied to the wreckage.
– When a vehicle explodes, the wreckage it produces may get launched away if its mass is too low. A slight delay before the mass gets applied prevents this from occurring.

Known Issues And Phenomenon

– Vehicle wrecks can be sent flying by powerful explosions.
– Vehicle wrecks get "anchored" by the Permanent Wrecks mod.
– For vehicles that split into multiple components when wrecked (turrets separating from the chassis, airplanes disintegrating into parts, etc.), only the "main" part of the vehicle, generally the hull/chassis/fuselage, will receive the new mass, with the other parts of the vehicle retaining their default mass.
