Tidebreaker Night Raiders
M2: With intelligence decrypted from operations, it is believed that Russia is directly funding and equipping the northern rebel forces. A detachment of US units in Belarus has been dispatched to cooperate with Local Belarussian military forces. During an ongoing battle, US forces must uncover concrete proof tying Russia to the Rebel groups.
[With the northern insurgents scared into hiding, BELTCOM has expressed an interest in making contact with the southern insurgents. These insurgents do not seem to be tied to the forces in the north. Their equipment and training implies they have western backing of some kind, though our NATO allies have all denied official support. Russian forces have recently pushed a large group of these southern-insurgents to the outskirts of (city). We have reason to believe there are surviving insurgents within the city that, if supported, can reveal a trove of intel on what the intent of Russian forces in-county are.
BELTCOM briefing: Operation Night Raiders:
Tacdiv’s will split into two sub-groups. 1st will be a small special operations force, smuggled into the city via civilian airliners/cargo planes. These troops will wait until night before making contact with men on the ground. The 2nd group will support the surviving insurgent forces in direct engagement with Russian forces. En-route we shall obscure any visible NATO markings to blend in with the insurgent group. As they are already equipped in a western style, we shouldn’t stand out from them at engagement distances. The 2nd group is to maintain the security of the last friendly-held rail-line out of town. This will be used by the 1st SOF group as a primary exfil route after the operation is complete.
