Additional XCOM Abilities
This mod adds some additional cross-class abilities available to XCOM soldiers, including quite a few that are normally class-specific. Abilities requiring a specific weapon a soldier doesn’t normally carry are instead usable with the weapons added by Utility Slot Sidearms Extended.
For example, Lightning Hands might now appear as a random ability for Grenadiers, Rangers, or Specialists. They’ll need to bring along a utility slot pistol to take advantage. Similar bonus abilities are granted to the utility slot gremlin, sword, and so on…
The entire tree of random abilities are determined when a Rookie first ranks up, so if you install this mod mid-game you won’t see any difference with current soldiers unless you reroll their perks with a console command. Starting a new game is not required, though.
The text for some abilities isn’t right because it points to your secondary slot item instead of the proper item. This just affects the text. The ability itself will work properly.
This mod has only been tested to work with Utility Slot Sidearms Extended for WOTC, which is a different mod from Utility Slot Sidearms WOTC by Ginger; this mod may or may not work with that one. It is fully compatible with my Multiclassing mod, including checks to ensure that your random perks won’t clash with the ones that you gain via multiclassing. However, neither mod requires the other, and both can be used independently, as well.
