Grid-snapping 5-storey 1950s residential set
This is a set of 5-storey residential and service buildings created using my early start building elements pack. They aren’t based on anything real in particular but gesture vaguely at 1950s Stalinist "Empire" architecture and stalinkas. These are essentially a practice run for some much bigger stalinkas I’m planning, but should themselves be characterful and useful for medium density socialist-realist neighbourhoods.
There are 11 buildings: 2x corner towers, 1x corner block, 2x 60-metre residential blocks, 4x 20-metre residential blocks including a road arch and a pedestrian arch, and a clinic and kindergarten arch buildings. All are 85% housing quality and made using gravel, concrete, bricks, boards and steel. Prices are automatically calculated and are in line with most early start residential buildings.
All buildings have collisions disabled, and are specifically designed to fit with each other using the grid-snapping tool (F1). They will overlap due to buildings ingame being slightly larger than the editor claims, but should still look good. Look closely at the roofs if things aren’t lining up – the arched dormer windows on one side are the "outside", the side the chimneys are on is the "inside". All arch buildings should allow pedestrians or vehicles through. You can navigate between the buildings with Q and E, and all have "5st" in their name string for easy searching.
Part of my Empire Uchronia set. More coming.
