Description:

A small addon that adds CS:GO-esque bullet penetration to existing weapons.

Features
  • Supports (almost) every weapon
  • More damage = more penetration
  • Different surfaces have different densities and different results
  • Damage decreases as bullets travel through objects

Please keep in mind that this is a very quick-and-dirty addon and I haven’t tested support for the more complex weapon bases like TFA or ArcCW. It might work, it might not, only one way to find out.

Convars

These options can be changed through the spawnmenu in the options tab.

  • ubp_enabled – Enables or disables the addon entirely
  • ubp_penetration_multiplier – A multiplier for how hard a bullet penetrates through materials
  • ubp_damage_multiplier – A multiplier for how much damage is lost after penetration
  • ubp_shotguns – Whether penetration applies to shotguns (or any other weapons that fire more than one shot at a time, might be buggy due to some workarounds that had to be applied because source)]
  • ubp_alive – Whether bullets can penetrate through living things (players and NPC’s)

Compatibility

Some weapon bases either ship with their own penetration system or are incompatible out of the box. The convars below let you disable the addon for those bases, developers can do this themselves as well by setting UBPDisable = true on their weapon either in the SWEP table or before firing their bullets.
