Description:

Hello! This mod is an expansion mod that adds new units, new technology and balance changes.

1) New Research Options:

  • Tier 8: Iridium Plating: The plating increases Armor by 1, Health by 10% and gives 10% ranged damage reduction.
  • Tier 10: CrisisBattlesuit reinforcements: Increases unit size from 3 to 4.
    (And increase the upkeep from 3 to 4)

  • Jump Pack has been added to the Commander, Crisis Battlesuits and Stealth Battlesuits as an Innate Ability. (Works with Hammer of wrath)
  • Tigershark now has 2 buffed Gun Drone abilities and now has 5 units in a squad instead of 3
  • Drone Controller: Increases range from 1 to 2

2) New units

  • Crisis Bodyguards

    This new Crisis Suit will protect Tau heroes and bring a new type of firepower to the battlefield

  • Orca transport ship

    A super-heavy transport flier which can transport many Tau units at once

  • DS8 Support Turret

    A stationary drone which fortifies positions

    Huge thanks to Armstrong for texturing and animating the unit.

  • Sha’ng Longstrike

    A formidable tank pilot who empowers Hammerheads

3) New technology

  • TX-4 Pirana Ambush

    A trait that allows the Pirana to have increased range when the enemy is affected by Marker Light

  • Strike Teams

    A new trait that empowers Fire Warriors and Breachers when they are adjacent to other Fire Warriors/ Breachers.

    – Fire warriors will get the Strike Team buff which increases accuracy and overwatch damage. This research will also reduce enemy’s ranged accuracy by 17%. Fire Warriors can now also deploy the TS8 support turrets.

    – Breachers will get Breach and Clear! This trait increases armour damage against vehicles and fortifications and increases their grenade range by 1.

  • Crisis Bodyguard additional missile pods

    Equips the Crisis Bodyguard with additional missile pods

4) Balance changes:
It’s numbers time! 😀

    4a) Traits Balance changes:

  • Tidewall Shieldline Reflect increased from 17% to 33%
  • Flechette Discharge return damage increased from 17% to 33%
  • Loss of Drones will no longer reduce morale by more than 0.5

    4b) Weapon Balance changes:

  • CyclicIon Raker Overcharged (Used by the Ghostkeel Suit): Damage increased from 6 to 24

  • Ion Accelerator Standard (Used by the Tau HQ and the Riptide Battlesuit): Damage increased from 4 to 5

  • Ion Accelerator Overcharged (used by the same units as the normal firing mode): Increased damage from 6 to 15

  • Nova Electromagnetic Shockwave (used by the R’varna’s nova reactor): Increased Damage from 0.75 to 3

  • Pulse Submunitions Cannon (used by the R’varna Battlesuit): Increased Damage from 3 to 6

  • Twin Linked Fusion Blaster (used by the Ghostkeel suit): Increased attack(s) from 1 to 2

  • Twin Linked Heavy Rail Rifle (used by Broadside Battlesuits): Increased Damage from 6 to 7

  • Twin Linked Plasma Rifle (Used by the Riptide Battlesuit): Increased Attack(s) from 1 to 2

  • Twin Linked Airbursting Fragmentation Projector (Stormsurge weapon): Increased Attacks from 1 to 3

  • Twin-Linked Ion Rifle (used by the MV-17 Interceptor Drones): Increased accuracy from 4 to 6

  • Fusion Blaster (used by the XV-25 Stealth Battlesuits and the TX-4 Piranha): Increased damage from 6 to 7
  • Pulse Bomb (used by the AX-39 Sun Shark Bomber): Increased armor penetration from 2 to 3

5) Units:

  • Broadside Battlesuit: Increased Accuracy from 6 to 8

  • Riptide Battlesuit: Accuracy Increased from 6 to 8

  • X-108 R’varna Battlesuit: Increased Accuracy from 6 to 8

  • KV-128 Stormsurge Battlesuit: Increased Accuracy from 6 to 7

  • Shielded Missile Drones: Accuracy increased from 4 to 6

  • Breacher Fire Warriors:

    -Increased Tier from Tier 1 to Tier 2, increased food and ore cost from 15 to 20, increased food upkeep from 1.5 to 2 and increased production cost from 30 to 36.

    -Increased Pulse-Blaster damage from 2 to 2.5, increased armour penetration from 1 to 4 and increased accuracy from 6 to 7

  • AX-3 Razorshark Space Fighter: Added new trait (Strafing Run) and overcharged damage of Quad-Iron Turret is now 16
  • XV-95 Ghostkeel Battlesuit : Ghostkeel Electro-warfare suit’s ranged damage reduction increased from 17 to 25. HP increased from 16 to 20.

6) Vehicles:

  • TX-4 Piranha: Accuracy increased from 6 to 7. New weapon: Twin-Linked Pulse Carbine. New trait: Target-Lock which increases the accuracy of the Fusion Blaster. New Action: Scout.

    Huge thanks to Armstrong for updating the model in order to add new weapons to it! Absolutely revolutionary!
