Busy Commuting (weekdays)
The North Landen route is brought alive with a busy timetable that has no less than 30 services either departing or arriving at St Padding’s Cross every hour between 08:00 and 18:00. All intercity trains except one all call at least one station on the way to their destinations and the Semifast also have 2 stops. The biggest change is a new stopping train heading north from Eastle Harley. This section is identified as the Urban line and operated by both a 122 (northbound) class and a 117 (southbound). Most trains run to within 3 minutes of their schedule, although trains heading into St Padding’s Cross might have to wait for a platform to become vacant. The identification list (Headcodes) has been simplified with the following abbreviations – IC = Intercity, SF = Semifast, SU = Suburban, RU = Rural, UB = Urban & ST = Stopping.
